Motor Show this autumn in Paris, Renault will show electric concept called DeZir.
It will be an engine located in the middle of the chassis, but its design is the work of the new chief designer of Renault, Lorenzo van den Aker, who came from the French company Mazda.
Renault DeZir is assembled on a tubular frame, such as bodywork is made of Kevlar panels. As a result of this decision has its own car weighing only 830 kilograms.
Electric motor power 143 hp is able to accelerate the car from 0 to 100 mph in five seconds. A set of lithium-ion batteries allow the car to go after 160 km single charge.
With the technology of Renault Quick Drop, 80% of the capacity of batteries can be charged only for 20 minutes.
According to representatives of Renault, this concept shows what direction the design will develop the brand in coming years. On this base style will create a new generation Renault Clio, particularly with regard to the front, specified by Renault.
There is a possibility DeZir be the basis for a new sports car that Renault will produce brand Alpine.
